Analytical Thinking and the Problem-Solving Skills
Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills play important role for the business analyst as these skills helps the analyst to understand what the most valuable things are to work with the stakeholders to identify the effect of changes which are used to be done. Business analyst use to take this information from the different sources of the information like (diagrams, customers feedback and spreadsheet). These sources help the business analyst to make quick and good decisions. There are some core competencies which helps the analyst to present the best and the suitable information to the stakeholders.
These core competencies are:

3. Learning
4. Problem Solving
5. System Thinking
6. Conceptual Thinking
7. Visual Thinking
Behavioral Characteristics
Behavioral characteristics is not that important for the business analyst, but it helps the analyst to show his interpersonal skills to the others. This characteristic also describes the efforts of the analyst in his work. There are the core competencies of the behavior characteristics which helps the business analyst to win the trust and the respect of the stakeholders.
The core competencies of the Behavioral characteristics are:

3. Trustworthiness
4. Organization and Time Management
5. Adaptability
Business Knowledge
This term helps the business analyst to understand what business all is about, what methodologies should use to make the performance in the business more effectively. It also helps to understand the most important concepts like structure, benefits of the related situation that needs to be changed.
The core competencies of the Business Knowledge are:
1. Business Acumen
2. Industry Knowledge
3. Organization Knowledge
4. Solution Knowledge
5. Methodology Knowledge3+
Communication Skills
Communication means exchanging of the information within the two people. Effective communication skills always give advantages to all the stakeholders. People can communicate by the different methods like by the words, movements and expressions. Difference between the sender and the receiver is just of the language, culture and thinking styles. But in the effective communication both senders and receivers involve who have the same type of the understanding regarding any information. Effective communication helps to understand the effect of the tone, body language on the meanings of the word.
The core competencies of the communication skills are:

Interacting Skills
These skills show the attitude of the business analyst to relate the different kind of people with the cooperation and communication. Business analyst are mostly positioned to give stakeholders leadership, helps to understand the solution values and support the stakeholder for the purposed changes.

2. Leadership and influencing
3. Teamwork
4. Negotiation & Conflict

Communication skills are the act of transferring information or knowledge from one person to person or one place to another. In other words, we can say that it is process of sharing ideas and opinions with each other. We can be good in communication skills by listening others and engaging with each other. There are four types of conversation. It can be any kind of communication vocally like using voice, written like using emails, books and paper work, visually using maps, charts or graphs and non-verbal using body language, gestures and tone.

ReplyDeleteI want to talk more about interacting skills. These are the soft skill set includes tactful, communication, mediation and diplomacy according to research. According to my prospective we can improve the core component of interacting skills. For example, in case of teamwork if every team member will cooperate with each other then it will be easier to work together. If we talk about Bison Transport company, it takes sustainability because they use creative and to drive a sustainable business. They invest in the growth of people. For customers they provide many facilities as logistic services, ant try to improve supply chain. So, overall i think interacting skills play an important role in the business of various companies.
As my friend talk about the problem solving skills in business era which is an important characteristic for any company. The use of creative thinking to core out problems faced by workers and working in groups for better results and prefering risk taking culture in company for better upgrade .
